Herbal Therapy for Cancer Treatment


Cancer, the most heard term now-a-days is a disease or group of disease which involves abnormal cell growth having the immense potential of spreading or invading from a particular location to different parts of body. Cancer leads the uncontrolled growth of cells into a tumour which damages the body in every way by showing the symptoms of abnormal bleeding, unexplained weight loss and changes in bowel movement. There are different types of cancer related to different parts of the body which are treated through medications/chemotherapy, vaccination and radiation therapy.

But are these treatment methods always effective in curing the cancer without any side effects, this is the biggest issue to be taken into consideration. The treatment methods used for cure show side effects either the chemotherapy method in which changes occur in the body or the radiation therapy in which due to radiation some healthy cells also get destroyed with the tumour cells. This is what we don’t see with herbal medications as the herbal therapy for cancer has no side effects and makes body to fight with the disease. Being the most commonly used complementary and alternative therapy, herbal medicine uses the mixture of plant extracts to treat the disease as its been shown that maximum population are cured from cancer through herbal remedies with negligible side effects.

Herbal Remedies involve several herbs which are widely used for the treatment purpose and can fight efficiently with cancer. Some of them are: Astragalus (Huang Qi), a Chinese herb which boosts the immune system & stimulates the natural production of interferon and is taken during radiotherapy to double the survival chances; Butchers Broom (Ruscus aculeatus), this herb has been found to shrunken the tumour and is used for breast cancer. Just like them many more herbs like Larrea Mexicana, Feverfew, Golden seal, Red Clover and Wheat grass etc., are used for treatment of different types of cancer. Even though till now it’s not been completely proved that herbal remedies are curable for any type of cancer but still the practices are under process for herbs to treat every type of cancer.
